DAY 1: Arrival in Caracas
An English-speaking guide will meet you and the group at the airport, transfer to the hotel. Dinner at your expense.

DAY 2: Arrival at the Orinoco Delta
Breakfast and transfer from hotel to the airport (about 1hr). Flight to Maturin (about 1hr) and transfer to the river port "Boca de Uracoa" where we embark a motorized boat and navigate (about 1hr30) on the river Manamo to the Warao Camp on the riverbanks. First contact with the local population. Lunch at the camp. Visit of a Warao Indian Community, swim in the river and return to camp for a local regional dinner and overnight at camp.

DAY 3: Delta exploration and nocturne excursion
After breakfast, we will dedicate the day to explore the Orinoco Delta. Outing by motorized boat and visit to 2 Indian communities who live in huts built upon stilts. Picnic lunch followed by swimming in the river and piranhas fishing. Back to camp at the end of the afternoon. Dinner followed by night outing to catch, observe and release snakes (e.g. peaks) and caimans with the use of a headlamp. Overnight in a camp on stilts.

DAY 4: Flooded forest
After breakfast we will walk to explore, see and learn about the flooded forest guided by a local Warao Indian. He will explain to us the medicinal and culinary use of the local trees and plants. Return to camp for lunch. Swim in the river. Observation of freshwater dolphins. Return to camp where we will dine and sleep.

DAY 5: Morichal Largo
After breakfast, outing by traditional Indian canoe in the narrow canals of the Delta guided by a local Warao Indian. Return to camp for lunch and outing by motorized boat to ride in the magnificent canals of the Morichal Largo. We will be able to observe a large concentration of Moriche palm trees and lots of animal species such as howler monkeys, capuchins monkeys, hoatzins (considered as the oldest modern birds in existence) and freshwater dolphins. Return to camp where we will dine and sleep.

DAY 6: Caripe and the Guacharo Cave
Breakfast and return by boat to the river port "Boca de Uracoa" (about 1hr30) and drive to the city of Caripe. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Guacharo Cave: cave inhabited by numerous night birds of large wingspan, the guacharos (oil birds). Dinner in the city and overnight at hotel.

DAY 7: Coffee farm and arrival at the Mochima National Park
After breakfast, visit a coffee plantation and its production manufacture. Drive to the Mochima National Park. Lunch on a roadside restaurant. Arrival at the seafront inn and free afternoon on the beach. Dinner in a seaside restaurant and overnight at inn.

DAYS 8 and 9: Beach and coral reefs
After breakfast, outing by boat to different beaches, observation of coral reefs and marine fauna using mask and snorkel. Dolphins spotting. Picnic lunch on the beach and late afternoon return to the inn. These 2 days are dedicated to visiting different beaches and coral reefs containing a large variety of tropical species. Dinner at a seaside restaurant and overnight at inn.

DAY 10: Return to Caracas
After breakfast, drive to Caracas Maiquetia International Airport. Lunch at your expense on roadside restaurant followed by your international return flight.
